CCC FAFSA Lab – Open computer labs with free assistance to fill out your FAFSA.  Monday-Thursday 10am-1pm and 1:30-3pm.  Roger Rook Hall on the Clackamas Community College campus.  Free to any student/family; not just for CCC students.

 

 

FAFSA/Financial Aid Presentation

Clackamas Community College & the CHS Academic Counselors will be doing a “Financial Aid for Beginners” presentation on October 17, 2018 in both Spanish and English, at 6:30PM in Room 1 & 4 (Fourth Street Center), during Parent Conferences.

THIS IS DURING PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES, SO PLAN ON STAYING LONGER.

PSAT Scores

Most CHS sophomores and some juniors will take the PSAT test in October, 2018.  Paper score reports will not be available until February.  In the meantime, you can access your scores online by doing the following:

  •   Go to https://studentscores.collegeboard.org/home
  •   If you already have a College Board account, sign in using your user name and password.
  •   If you don’t have an account, click on “Sign-Up” next to the blue “Sign In” button to create your College Board account.
  • VERY IMPORTANT:  create your account with your legal name and DON’T LOSE your user name and password.  You will need them to register for the SAT.
  • If your PSAT scores don’t appear when you log in, click the “Add Scores” button.  You may have to log out and log back in to see them.

 

CHS Activity Chart

Seniors can use the CHS Activity Chart as a way to organize their activities and accomplishments for the Local Scholarship Applications (available March 1, 2018).

CTE Graduation Cord Application

In order to be awarded a CTE program cord for graduation, Seniors must apply.  The six programs that are giving cords are Agriculture, Business, Construction Technology, Early Childhood Education, Graphic Design, and Manufacturing.  Each program has specific criteria that students must complete.  See teachers in each program or go to the Counseling office with questions.

ALL COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 2ND

ANDREW YOUNG – Academic Counselor for last names A-G

Andrew is originally from Colorado – attending high school in Greeley, earning his Master’s Degree in Ft. Collins at CSU, and then working as a School Counselor for seven years in Craig, Colorado. He has been an Academic Counselor at Canby High School since 2000. Before becoming a School Counselor, Mr. Young worked as a Group Home Youth Worker for three years in Lincoln, Nebraska, while also earning his Bachelor’s of Education from the University Of Nebraska. Mr. Young enjoys family, travel, hiking, and chilling.

Kelly is originally from the Chicago area and has worked in Illinois, Colorado and Oregon.  She started her career in education as an art teacher for K-12.  She has been an academic counselor at Canby High School since 1997.  Kelly enjoys yoga, traveling and grizzly bears.

Daren is originally from Alaska, but has lived in Oregon for the past 35 years.  She spent 14 years as a high school English teacher before moving into Academic Counseling.  Daren has been at Canby High School since 2000.  She is the mom of 3 Canby High graduates .  She enjoys reading and puzzles.

Trevor grew up in California and Oregon.  Prior to coming to CHS, Trevor worked in the mental health field.  He has been at Canby High for 8 years.  Trevor enjoys travel, cooking and reading.
